Fortunately, We Got the Boot

Original

One of our buyers is an avid equestrian, so we weren’t surprised to see an antique brass riding boot tucked triumphantly beneath her arm as we left the antiques fair in Avignon. We think the original may have been used to hold walking sticks. And the hand-hammered details were incredible, from the crinkled leather to its buckled heel straps.

Compare our version of this 19th century brass riding boot to the original and you’ll be amazed at the details were we able to recreate. The stamped heel buckles are cut separately by hand and we copied the intricate stitching we loved in the antique. We even added weighting to the bottom, so you can use it for tall umbrellas or to hold kindling next the fire.
