Cloche Pendant
A pendant that grows on you
A cloche is a like a tiny greenhouse for your garden. The earliest ones were made in Italy around 1600 of bell-shaped glass. (The name “cloche” comes from the French word for bell.) It was a brilliantly simple idea that’s still in use today. That’s why we weren’t surprised to find a classic metal and glass garden cloche tucked among the old jars at a Paris flea market. But what could we do with it? That’s when the light went on.
As we stood there, in the middle of a Paris flea market, admiring an old gardening cloche, the proverbial light bulb went on above our heads. What if we could wire it and turn it into a unique lighting fixture? It took a few months to get the details just right, but our Cloche Pendant was worth the wait. When light shines through the opaque glass panes, it creates a warm, welcoming glow that you’ll grow to love.
