Some people are born with that special something, and Suzanne Kasler is one of those people. Her sense of style and proportion is evident in everything she creates. Ballard is honored to have Suzanne put her creative signature on our March/April 2010 Catalog. Her look is distinctive and upscale. We were able to catch a few glimpses of Suzanne on location creating her look with the use of Ballard items. Her work style is to stand back and edit until she reaches a perfect harmony of space and design. We hope you enjoy a peak at the behind-the-scenes journey of Suzanne Kasler through Ballard’s looking glass.

Hi! I absolutely loved your new catalog I received yesterday. What brand and shade of paint did Suzanne Kasler use in the pink bedroom? It’s the perfect pink and an answer for my bedroom color dilemma.
Keep up the good work with your catalogs! I’ve gotten so many ideas from them and have been happy with everything I’ve ordered.

    Thank you for your answer.

I always look forward to your catalogs. They are such an inspiration and this one is no exception! Beautiful! I am dying to know the paint colors used in the rooms. That would complete it in my book! As always, thanks for giving us great ideas.

Other paint colors, please? The kitchen shot is great – is that the same color as the living room? thanks.

  7. Karyl Says:

What beautiful designs! Love her choices for a cool palette of colours. As a guy, I find it difficult usually to live in most designer rooms I see because of all the frou-frou and deep, jewel tones. Suzanne’s choices are comfortable for everyone. Go Ballard!

  14. Erin Says:

Hello! I have absolutely fallen in love with the brick floor used in the entry way page 15 of your recent (maybe April?) catalog. I am building a home and would love some details on how you achieved that look and what the material/manufacturer is.

  15. Tammy Daech Says:

I just received the October issue and love everything in it! I have been trying to find the perfect paint color for the house we just purchased. Can you tell me the name of the paint color on page 48?

  16. Michelle Czarnecki Says:

Just got the April catalog ang love the purple color on the doors on page 26 and 27. Do share! Would love to use it in my Mom Cave!

  17. Ballard Designs Says:

Michelle: The color is Plum Perfect #1371 from Benjamin Moore. Please make sure you get a sample and paint a sizable section so you can view it in your own home. Sometimes the color in the catalog can translate as a different shade.

  18. Mary Says:

I just received the new summer 2011 catalogue and love the wall color on page 27. Can you tell me what paint color it is…would love to use it!

  19. Ballard Designs Says:

Mary: This room was painted by the builder and unfortunately he did not have the name of the paint. We did however go over paint swatches and think that Benjamin Moore’s Rich Clay Brown #2164-30 is very close in color. We always suggest that you get a sample of the paint and paint a large square and view in the daylight and nighttime to make sure the color is what you want.

  20. Amma Says:

What is the color on page 21, the room with the armoire and desk chair. Thanks!

  21. Ballard Designs Says:

The room was painted by the builder before we used it as a location house. We did however match it up with Benjamin Moore’s Silver Fox #2108-50. Always paint a large swatch in your room before purchasing it.

  22. Roberta Says:

What is the color on page 72 and 73 of May 2011 catalog. Very pretty!

  23. Ballard Designs Says:

Roberta: The wall color on page 72 & 73 is from Farrow & Ball. The color is Dix Blue #82. Please order a sample of the paint. Through the printing process the colors in the catalog can appear different. We do suggest painting a two x two foot area and look at it day and night to determine if this is the color you wanted.

  24. Ballard Designs Says:

Ted: Sunbrella fabrics have come a very long way! Quite a few of their fabrics are soft and supple – not stiff and harsh. We do recommend that you handle fabrics before you make a decision though. We have a wonderful expose of Sunbrella on Style Studio – How to Care for your Sunbrella Fabrics.
